Studio Wildcard used its recent Extra Life charity fundraising livestream to outline a whole two years’ worth of update plans for ARK: Survival Ascended, including a new dino, a holiday event teaser, and map updates that stretch out all the way in to October 2025.

The first major piece of content lands on Wednesday, December 20th, when the battle royale-like mode Survival of the Fittest makes its return to ASA across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, complete with cross-platform play. More details are promised by the studio in an upcoming Community Crunch newsletter.

After that, the roadmap offers multiple release windows for familiar maps, such as Scorched Earth in March 2024, Aberration in July 2024, and Genesis 1 and 2 in February and May 2025 respectively. The roadmap also plots the animated series’ premiere early next year and also projects a “Survival Ascended Surprise” for November 2024. The full roadmap can be seen by clicking the image below.

In the more immediate future, ASA will be celebrating the winter holidays with Krampus’ arrival to the Winter Wonderland, where he’ll “punish naughty tribemates for pretending to be AFK when it’s time to farm,” and the sand-swimming Fasolasuchus that was previewed this past June will be headed to the survivalbox. Both features weren’t given any hard release dates, but they should be coming soon.

Finally, ASA offered up a showcase of several cross-platform mods that players can enjoy and sampled some of the music created for the animated series, all while Studio Wildcard and its players helped to raise nearly $130K for Extra Life charities.
