Throne & Liberty preloading has kicked off ahead of Thursday’s paid early access

The first big launch of the fall has officially begun its slow rollout today as preloading for Throne & Liberty’s early access is now underway.

“The time is nigh – Throne and Liberty early access has nearly arrived. To ensure you’re ready to embark on your adventures in Solisium, an opportunity to pre-load the game will open on September 24, 10AM PT (5PM UTC) on Steam, Xbox X|S, and PlayStation 5 for those who have purchased an Early Access Pack.”

That’s 1 p.m. EDT, so if you’re reading these words, it’s live. And yes, do note that preloading – like the early access itself, which opens Thursday at the same time – is meant only for folks who’ve ponied up for at least the small preorder package, around $40. The proper launch next week on October 1st is free-to-play.

NCsoft and Amazon coyly remind gamers that can buy an early access pack at any point between the headstart and the October 1st launch and still get all those preorder goodies, including immediate early access, so now the real event is whether your brain can best the FOMO. There is no leaderboard or achievement bundle for this, only your own self-satisfaction and the $40 still in your pocket.

In other T&L news, Amazon has posted up another article detailing NCsoft’s overhaul of the game since its Korean launch last year leading up to its international launch next week, from combat to monetization.

“At launch, players can look forward to exciting PvP modes like 3v3 Arenas, with massive Castle Siege battles coming soon after the game is live. In Castle Sieges, thousands of players and their guilds can wage war to claim castles and their spoils. For players who enjoy PvE content, six-player co-op dungeons have been added to the game so players can band together to take on challenging bosses for valuable loot. There’s more content in store for the PvE player, and there are also lifestyle activities to enjoy like fishing and cooking, Amitoi Expeditions, a dedicated photo mode, and so much more.”
