breetoplay Mansemat I like the Newegg ad as well. What would make me more likely to actually click an ad is if the site is having some promotion. I would like to see coupon codes on the ads or advertise free shipping on orders over $50 as another example. If you have ever dealt with sites like techbargains or slickdeals, that is how I like to shop. If you can get some semblance of that in your ads, at least for someone like me, I would be more likely to click.
What I’m not sure about is that homeowner mortgage ad. How well do you vet these sites/companies? When I look at that ad, it just screams ‘scam’ to me. Whether it is true or not, I don’t know but I would never click something like that. I would hate to see you get a bad reputation because someone carried that good will into one of the ads and got scammed.
breetoplay Mansemat I’ve already backed the Kickstarter, but the quicker y’all get your Patron subscription up and running, the quicker I’ll feel less guilty about running uBlock. :P
So, how was the recognition of MOP at PAX? I remembered you mentioned wondering if they would take you as a serious press site after the close of Massively. Did you guys build any long term contacts at the conventions over the years? Is it just an anonymous process each year or dealing with someone different? I think it would be an interesting read to see how you were received by various companies/booths.

Well, thanks for explaining that. :)

it’s an online warehouse similar to amazon. it mostly deals with electronic items. it’s a decent place to search for computer parts if you want to put together your own computer as well

Um…what is exactly NewEgg? I see 2 adds in the top right hand corner advertising Newegg…not sure what that is about. o.O
breetoplay Mansemat
I’ll take NewEgg ads over browser MMO’s any day of the week.
Talk about PAX coverage!
ManastuUtakata Nope, I’d like to take credit for fixing it, but it was Livefyre’s problem and Livefyre’s fix. :D Actually, I’m not even sure it’s fixed. I have also not seen it since early last week, but it’s been an ongoing problem with Livefyre off and on for years, so I have a feeling it’s as much to do with their infrastructure as anything.
Great snag with NewEgg. Props to your sales manager. I’ll have to offer up some clicks to help grease the wheels.
