Five players clear most of WoW’s current high-end raid

And it burns, burns, burns.

How many players does it take to clear a high-end raid in World of Warcraft? If you said “20,” you would be correct for Mythic difficulty. If you said “anywhere between 10 and 25,” you would be correct for every lower difficulty. If you said “five players in very good gear,” you… would actually also be correct, judging by the raid group that recently took on Blackrock Foundry with five people and managed to clear almost all of it.

There’s a video past the cut if you doubt it, even! While the run wasn’t a complete success (Blackhand was whittled down to 15% but not actually killed), it’s pretty surprising that a group of five could clear even the majority of the Foundry content on normal. Check out the video past the break if you’d like to see some of how it was done.

The strangest thing about all the news lately related to warlords is how its 1 patch into the expansion but even the players are acting like its the final tier and they are finding their own fun as they wait for the next expansion.
Doesnt say much for the design team, but a strange situation nonetheless.

dirtyklingon Karl_Hungus People are already saying they miss MoP yet before they couldn’t wait to get out. It is pretty funny actually.

Ever since LFR Blizzard refuses to make new dungeons.  They didn’t release a single dungeon for all of MoP.

Wouldn’t be wonderful if there where dungeon options for all raid content?
…and in case you’re wondering about my tumblr bias in this: All instance should require no more than 8 players (ie. CoH?) and no less than 4 (ie. FF XIV) to complete. <3

It’s not the same game or era, but drunk-raiding Greenscale and Hammerknell in my goofy progression guild was some of the very best times I’d ever had in a video game.

Some of the old mechanics weren’t too latency friendly as well, like the crystals in Gruul’s if I recall right.

I hear a lot of flak as well, but IMO WotLK and TBC were *equally* superb.

Agreed! More options for wild, risky times, more better, like back in the days of TBC when a few clever and enterprising individuals ran OwlBear Tank, Rogue Tank or Shadowpriest Tank.

palejens I don’t deny it is a feat just not so awesome as others :) For example a Level 80 rogue during WotLK have soloed Patchwerk..

A DK during Pandaria have soloed world Boss and there also others that currently don’t remember much more impressive :)
