The first Guild Wars 2 expansion is coming shortly, and players are going to have something to do before the expansion hits. The official Twitter account for the game recently revealed a teasing image about what’s coming next, which probably won’t be a huge surprise (everyone expected to see some plant minions, after all) but will still make players happy. It’s even confirmed by a prominent Guild Wars 2 dataminer on Reddit that there are event hooks in the data which he opted not to reveal to keep other players unspoiled. There’s more living story coming before the expansion, after all.
But are you going to have enough allies to go toe-to-toe with the minions of an Elder Dragon in the expansion? If you’re not completely confident, perhaps you should take advantage of the game’s current recruitment drive for guilds. There’s a whole thread for it, and while the thread doesn’t outright say you should be part of a guild, there’s a strong suggestion that you’d rather be in one than not for the event. So go on and team up.
