World of Warcraft won’t have a hard Valor cap in 6.2.3

Just whenever you get around to us, it's cool.

The return of Valor as a currency in World of Warcraft‘s patch 6.2.3 brings a lot of questions with it. Once you get past several of the obvious questions about why it was removed in the first place under the circumstances, you get down to the specifics of numbers. A new update on the forums outlines exactly what those numbers are at the moment, starting with the fact that Valor will not have a hard cap in patch 6.2.3, although there will be practical limits on how much you can earn and how fast.

Upgrades cost 250 Valor for 5 item levels, with varying amounts awarded for raid finder runs, Heroic and Mythic dungeons, and weekly event quests. These sources can’t be repeated endlessly, but they’re sufficient to allow dedicated players a fairly quick trip along the upgrade tree for eligible items. If you’re happy with your gear but want just a little extra edge for it, it looks like Valor will provide exactly that.
