Level out.
A new Final Fantasy XIV patch doesn’t just mean a whole bunch of new content and so forth; it also means new improvements to quality of life like the user interface. The latest development blog is all about just that, starting with new functions being added to the scroll wheel on your mouse. By default, rolling it up and down will still adjust the zoom, but you can change that, add different functions when holding down a key, and otherwise customize your scroll wheel behavior.

The next patch will also allow you to scale the dialogue window that pops up during quests and cutscenes, a feature that was added by mistake with the expansion launch and is now being re-added once again. Last but not least, food will now display an item level, making it easier to tell at a glance which foods are most potent for purposes of stat boosting. All nice quality of life buffs, and they should make the next patch more pleasant even if you’re not taking part in all of that aforementioned new content.
