The folks at Blizzard continue to prepare the arena for Hearthstone’s new Rastakhan’s Rumble expansion coming next month, and to get players pumped for the Troll-flavored brawl, they’ve released a new short (and delightfully silly) animation and unveiled some more cards from the new set. The animation, created by YouTuber Wronchi, takes a light-hearted look at a showdown between Krag’wa’s Frogs, led by the great amphibian Loa himself, and Akali’s Rhinos, commanded by Garrosh Hellscream for whatever reason.
Amid the animation’s many gags, players can also get their first look at a new card, the Troll champion War Master Voone. Voone is a 4/3 for 4 mana who provides some powerful synergy with dragon-oriented decks thanks to his Battlecry effect, which creates a copy of each dragon card in his player’s hand — much to Krag’wa’s chagrin. Blizzard has also since revealed some more new cards from Rastakhan’s Rumble, including the bane of Zul’Gurub groups everywhere, Hakkar the Soulflayer, who appears as a 9/6 for 10 mana and whose Deathrattle effect replicates World of Warcraft’s infamous Corrupted Blood epidemic. More new cards are slated to be revealed throughout the day, as well, so if you want to keep up to date on all the newest announcements, make sure to keep an eye on Hearthstone’s official Twitter page.
The Frogs face the Rhinos in this episode of Ticket to Greatness, but the match leaves us with some questions: What does Annoy-o-tron taste like? And what’s up with Krog’wa’s eyebrows? #Rastakhan
