Whether it’s the digital world or the real one, window shopping is easily one of my favorite pastimes. It’s like retail therapy but without actually doing damage to your wallet, especially since you only have enough money in your account for a basket of chicken from the Popeye’s at the mall food court. But enough about my sorry fiscal state, let’s look at female avatar outfits in Star Citizen!
MassivelyOP reader DK has put together a quick video showcasing footage from the game’s current PTU build of patch 3.5, where he flips through the variety of armors and outfits currently available. It’s a good sneak peek at how the in-game ladies look, especially if you wear a particular set of kit in the live alpha build right now and were curious about how it looks on the upcoming new female avatars.
“A lot of the mannequins don’t line up with the armor preview because the mannequins are still mostly male model,” DK told us. “It was actually easy to miss the different skin suit variations they had before or different aesthetic armor sets that weren’t on display. You can also try on the stuff on the physical mannequins if not also the stuff in the kiosk as well – like a third-person preview before you buy the outfit.”
About the only complaint I have on the video is that it doesn’t use shopping music from The Sims, but that’s probably for the best given YouTube’s copyright strike proclivities. In any event, the video is embedded below.
