Good news, Final Fantasy XIV fans, you get a present on Christmas Eve this year in the form of a patch. Admittedly, it’s not a huge present; this isn’t a patch adding things like new Blue Mage abilities or a new PvP map. Instead, it’s adding in the weapon upgrade item in trade for Manufactured Coins from the Copied Factory and abolishing the weekly limit on rewards from Eden clears. It also kicks off a new Feast season, so you can start farming stuff all through the holiday break. So you make your own presents!
The down side is that players will naturally have to give up a bit of playtime for the patch to happen, with the game going down at 1:00 a.m. EST on December 24th.
