If Tuesday patch day feels weird to you for Black Desert Mobile still, then we get you – Wednesday’s been the day for the PC game for so long that it’s tradition. But over in the newly launched mobile version of the game, there’s a new patch as of today, complete with the promised guild war PvP mode and Ancient Ruins content.

“Guild War is a PvP mode specifically made for guilds, where Adventurers can engage in battle against enemy guild members in the open world of Black Desert Mobile. Guild masters and officers can declare war by entering the enemy guild’s name in the guild window. At least 10 guild members are required to attend within 48 hours along with a payment of 3 million silver from their guild fund. When the war begins all guild members are automatically enlisted and PvP will be activated between both guilds. Show off your PvP skills by battling members of the enemy guild and gain guild points by defeating them. Each guild competes against each other to earn points, and the first to reach 30,000 is the victor.”

Ancient ruins is an entirely different sort of PvP; it’s the existing “collaorative battle mode,” and as of the update, it’s now seen level 6 and 7 difficulty settings with the concommitant tier unlocks.

MOP’s BDO columnist Carlo checked out the game last fall and adored it, while MOP’s CMA columnist Chris is currently playing the game for his ongoing deep-dives, so be sure to take a peek!
