Holiday road.

The open beta for Phantasy Star Online 2 is finally arriving in North America at 9:00 p.m. EDT on March 17th. But you don’t have to wait that long to get the game downloaded and ready to go, because you can pre-load for the open beta right now on your Xbox One. You can also stare at your PC and feel a bit sad because you can not pre-load on PC, as no testing or launch details have yet been announced for that platform, but hey.

Open beta testing will include three years of content, with fully localized voices and English text for everything from story missions to Live Stage Events. There are four races and nine classes available to play, and the game is going to offer all of the most recent balancing updates so that it will not lag behind the Japanese version in that respect. So if you’re one of the closed beta participants who can’t wait to play or just look forward to the open test, get that pre-load going now.
