Alchemists. Can’t live with ’em, can’t have a slightly unsettling dungeon crawl without ’em. There’s something about this particular line of fantastical scientific inquiry that breeds madmen, and the Stone Garden dungeon arriving as part of The Elder Scrolls Online’s Stonethorn DLC continues the trend as evidenced by the most recent preview.

Unlike the last time we took at peek at the Stone Garden via not-quite VR, this preview offers a more complete look at the setting and the challenges players will face. Expect all sorts of Dwemer tech, alchemically empowered Stone Husks, werewolves, and apprentices, and three bosses that come in either standard difficulty or in a hard mode that can be activated before the fight for more challenge and more rewards.

Speaking of rewards, players can look forward to goodies like three unique gear sets such as the Kraglen’s Howl medium set, a Stone Husk monster mask that, when combined with its shoulders, cause heavy attacks to create a damaging tether that also boosts weapon damage, new collectibles, and new achievements.
