Shiver me timbers — the Battle Bards are coming aboard and demanding that all capable musicians appear on the poop deck and blast out a few shanties and jigs for their pleasure! In today’s episode, this motley crew examines the pirate themes that sail across many-a-MMO. Will they find rich booty — or only a few pieces o’ eight? Find out!

I loved this episode, while many MMOs have pirates i wish they do more with them, the content for pirates in many MMOs is shallow and does not go beyond the usual costumes, parrots on shoulders and funny hats.

This podcast reminded me of Uncharted Water, i installed it and i hope to find some of what i look for in a pirates MMO.

Another very enjoyable episode of the Battle Bards podcast. I highly recommend this podcast if you enjoy music. In general though I think pirates are becoming a bit overdone. You might even refer to them as a trope, even. Although… elven pirates might be interesting, especially if they have dragons as companions.
