Betawatch: Chronicles of Elyria insists it’s not dead

It's a real laugh.

Seriously, Chronicles of Elyria isn’t dead! It feels much better and wants to go take a walk. Why did everyone think it was dead just because it announced that it was dead? Apparently we were supposed to not believe that part and believe this part. I don’t even know any more.

Speaking of things that are not dead:

As we have hopefully established by now, life (and betas), uh, find a way. Down below you will find a list of the games we know of in testing, but if some of them have found a way to evade our notice when they skipped to a new phase of testing, find your own way down into the comments to let us know about it.

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.

AdventureQuest 3D: Open beta
Arcfall: Pre-alpha

Yes, MMO gamers, you too can perform the unpaid quality-control work otherwise known as game testing! Check out Massively Overpowered’s Betawatch every week for a run-down of MMOs that are still on the road to launch, even if they appear to have set up a permanent residence in a shed called early access.

I could clearly see the difference the animation was faster and smoother than the old games. But then it´s maybe simpler to see it when you spent a few 100 hours in a game you kind of know and feel allot of the game.

I’m not sure anyone even cares anymore.

You’re underestimating the FE community. People really want it back.
