New World opens up two more servers, updates its heat map, and preps a Halloween event

New World continues to need a bigger boat, or at least more servers. A new post on Twitter confirms that the game has opened up two more servers for players: one for central EU players and one for the US East cluster. Readers will note that the server count for the game has been expanding over the past couple of months, with a total of seven new servers opened in September on top of the two fresh ones today as the game continues to see a population rise.

The unveiling of these two new servers coincides with Amazon Games’ updated server heat map to help players plan for the kinds of queues they may face when the Brimstone Sands update launches next week.

In other New World news, the devs confirmed that a Halloween event is in the works. The event, known as Nightveil Hallow, will involve players combating the encroaching threat of Baalphazu, Marquis of Terror, and his horde of Pumpkinites. The event arrived to the PTR last month.
