So Galaxies of Eden’s devs had a bit of a surprising drop this week when they decided that instead of building a nice big social MMO – which, you may remember, was the original plan – they’re going to turn it into an AI-generated playground. That sounds excellent. No, really, that’ll work out great. Not that we’ll know, that’s not something we cover, but I’m sure it’ll go great. Really.
Other beta news? Sure, let’s get that happening.
- The Wagadu Chronicles is planning to have its next alpha phase be without an NDA, so everyone will be able to share their thoughts on the game.
- Hey, you know what we haven’t talked about in a while? SamuTale! Yeah, turns out it’s slowed down but is still plugging along.
- We don’t know just how the network test for Blue Protocol went at the moment, but we know it wrapped up and we got a new music video.
- Last but not least, check out the big English site over here for Bellatores! That’s a lot of site. Full of… site… stuff. I don’t have a good conclusion for this opening.
And with that… it’s been a hell of a week, folks, I really just don’t have anything else for you. Well, that’s not totally true; I do have our list of games in testing just below. If you notice that something in there has swapped to a new test phase without our noticing, you can let us know in the comments, and that would be appreciated. I’ll be watching, as always.
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed, nor will games that are NFT/blockchain scams; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
