So we already knew that Stunlock Studios is planning a big expansion called Secrets of Gloomrot for vampire survival game V Rising, and we knew that had been delayed from 2022 to May of 2023. And now, as of today, we know the date is May 17th, thanks to a big ol’ splash page that teases the release.

The teaser page also recaps some of the other features Stunlock has been previewing, including weather hazards, trading hubs, biome revamps, new bosses, new enemy types, the magic system revamp, the new storm spell school, new weapons and tools, improved vampirism, of course the multi-level castles.
There’s a brand-new trailer to herald the release too, and if this doesn’t do it for you, know that there are two more updates already in the works for after this one, including the game’s full release out of early access.
