Welcome back to MassivelyOP’s not-so-serious end-of-the-year awards as we present our award for Most Deserving MMO Steam Ban. Yes, it’s the Golden Yachties series, named in honor of those bright sparks absolutely convinced that video game blogging is a lucrative career and we’re all sailing ’round the world on ships of gold. (Stay in school, kids.)
And the winner is…
BLESS GLOBAL
It was cute, in a way, when Neowiz et al. kept trying to make Bless Online and its various spinoffs happen, but it was much less cute when it spun out a mobile-ported-to-PC version as Bless Global under the Tigon and Valofe banners; they stuffed it full of blockchain token junk and plopped it on Steam, after which it was summarily booted off the platform. And everyone clapped.
The weirdest thing is that somehow the game is back on Steam as I type this, and reviewers are still reporting that it’s interlaced with NFT trash, so I’m not quite sure how it’s slipped past Steam’s rules. Then again, the reviewers aren’t going easy on it; it’s sitting in “mostly negative” right now, so we’re guessing it’s not got many takers and it may as well still be banned.
