When Bungie admitted it was delaying Destiny 2’s The Final Shape all the way to June, that meant seven-month-long Season of the Wish – and prompted a promise from the team that it’d pack much more content into the season. As of today, we’ve gotten a tiny tease about what that entails. And we do mean tiny.
“Today, Bungie announced that the anticipated two-month content update, Destiny 2: Into the Light, is launching on April 9, 2024, available to all players,” the studio’s press release says. “Leading up to the launch, a series of three livestreams featuring the development team will showcase new content, features, and rewards with hands-on gameplay. These streams are scheduled for March 19, March 26, and April 2.”
And that’s pretty much it; even the weekly dev letter doesn’t give anything else away. The rest of the release is focused on the Ghostbusters crosspromo (starts March 19th) and the ongoing Guardian Games (ends March 26th). The Final Shape itself is still set for June 1st.
