Multiplayer medieval fantasy brawler Warhaven has officially sunsetted

Pour one out for the medieval warriors who were fighting it up in the fantasy world of Warhaven, including but not limited to Crud Bonemeal, Kittyman Stan, and Legally Distinct Jack Black. Nexon has put the kibosh on the game as scheduled, turning off its servers and closing down its community channels early this morning.

Readers may remember that the game launched into early access last September as a free-to-play title, with seasonal content updates, new characters, and aspirations to release on console sometime in the future, all while being a fun but unbalanced romp according to our PvP columnist Sam. Obviously none of that will happen now, and all media associated with the game has disappeared into the digital ether as a result of the drawing down. The game’s website and Steam page are still functional, but only until Sunday, April 7th.

“We want to give the players who have been with us throughout Warhaven our deepest thanks,” the closure post reads. “We hope that all of you will look back at the time you spent fighting alongside our 9 soldiers and 4 Immortals fondly. Developing the game and playing with you was a tremendous privilege for us.”
