It’s update day for Star Trek Online fans as the iconic sci-fi MMORPG releases Unparalleled for PC, and accordingly we are never allowed to misspell “unparalleled” ever again. The update marks the game’s 32nd (!) season and includes the new Situation Under Control episode, the Delete Alt Control seasonal event, a new lockbox ship, species and gender reset tokens, and the Borg Battle Royale simulation, which is a new ground-based TFO. Oh yeah, and Star Trek actress Denise Crosby is back in a starring role.

“This new season continues the Aetherian and Mirror Borg story content within Star Trek Online, as the player’s Captain must work with allies to defend the Iconians against a mysterious, new Borg threat,” Cryptic says.

“In Star Trek Online: Unparalleled, the Khitomer Alliance has tasked you and a new Aetherian ally with modifying an Iconian Gateway, when you receive a distress call from another universe. They’re under siege by a multiversal Borg, attacking from within a massive Dyson Sphere. Can you stop these new Borg before they gain control? This new adventure features a notable Star Trek franchise star, Denise Crosby, playing Captain Sela, Captain of the Enterprise F from a parallel universe. Denise Crosby is known for playing Tasha Yar in the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation and she later returned to the Star Trek universe to play Captain Sela. Star Trek Online: Unparalleled also introduces plenty of new content for players to discover.”

The console launch is still slated for June 19th, but PC players can jump in today.
