No, really, I am not kidding. Bree has been freaking out nonstop since she found out literally anything about Stars Reach. It is all she wishes to talk about. When I log on, she wants to share her fanfic about the hirsute lad whom we have named “Tusky McMammoth” and his adventures which, inevitably, involve Bothans dying. This game doesn’t even have Bothans. But it’s cool, she’s happy about it, and maybe you will also be happy when it enters limited alpha testing in summer!
Elsewhere, Battle Crush entered early access which is going great; please don’t check just like you shouldn’t put in the newspaper that I got mad. Fractured has added an optional subscription because I’m sure that is also going just great, and Blue Protocol is… uh… yeah. That’s going even worse.
So you know what, yeah, let’s go with Stars Reach; that seems much more fun. Even if one of my cats was a bastard and threw up on my bedsheets this week. Let’s just mosey on down below to catch up on our roundup of beta news this week including other stories, and below that is our full roundup of games in testing. Per usual, let us know if something slipped into a new test phase without our noticing.
We consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s often under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed, nor will games that are NFT/blockchain scams; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions. Finally, we’ll mark games “malingering” if they’ve been in a certain tier of development for a long time with no clear path to launch.

Yes, MMO gamers, you too can perform the unpaid quality-control work otherwise known as game testing! Check out Massively Overpowered’s Betawatch every week for a run-down of MMOs that are still on the road to launch, even if they appear to have set up a permanent residence in a shed called early access.
