Today’s Daily Grind is inspired by Neverwinter, whose last module revamped the volcanic Mount Hotenow and dropped a ton of Mountain of Flame screenshots on our heads.
And you know, I used to really, truly hate the requisite “volcano zone” in MMOs, whether or not they actually had a volcano. Red everywhere? Flames falling out of the sky? Lava pits? I find those zones to be visually exhausting.
Guild Wars 2’s Draconis Mons put a stop to my grudge, though, since it spices things up with lush green caldera life. I know its levels annoyed some gamers, but I had a good time in that zone.
