Well here’s some good news for MMO fans: KingsIsle is continuing its efforts to get kid-friendly MMO Wizard101 on aaaaaalllll the platforms, as today the company announced that it’s launching the game on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Yep, 2008’s Wiz101 is comin’ to consoles, though the crossplay is console-only on one big console server. No intermingling with the PC folks!

“Wizard101’s family-friendly worlds and strategic, turn-based, deckbuilding combat will be available on PS4 natively, PS5 (in PS4 compatibility mode), Xbox One, One S, One X, Xbox Series X|S (in Xbox One compatibility mode), and Nintendo Switch. As student Wizards, you’ll embark on hundreds of quests with hours of fully voiced-over story content, explore 20 whimsical worlds, and become part of a bustling and vibrant community of active players. The PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch versions will exist on one new server, allowing players to enjoy cross-play with other consoles.”

There’s no date given for the console launch in the PR or the (amusing) trailer; the studio just says “soon” and that the date will “be announced at a later date.” So stay tuned for soon!
