EVE Online engages the group-minded Siege of Zarzakh event for a limited time

Apparently an enemy NPC group in EVE Online has decided that attacking the gates to Zarzakh, which means it’s time for players to mobilize against them. That’s the basic idea behind the Siege of Zarzakh event, a limited-time affair that involves four star systems and lots of enemy ships blowing up (ideally).

This event is designed for groups of eight to 10 players in battlecruisers and smaller ships, who must travel through the affected star systems in order to reach horizon siege point sites, then take on waves of increasingly powerful enemies in an effort to draw out Drifter officers. Players who are looking to take part in the event are being advised to form fleets and keep their opportunities info panel open, but past that, CCP Games isn’t providing any more clues on how to engage.

Incidentally, the event post does note that the deepflow rift sites will be closing on September 12th, so if you were invested in that activity and not interested in this new one, then you’ve got a couple of days left.
