Smilegate is continuing to stick its fingers into many pies – that’s not meant to sound naughty, we swear – with the full reveal of IfSunSets, its new online co-op “survival RPG adventure game.” The game will hit early access tomorrow on Steam with a $19.99 pricetag.

IfSunSets boasts immersive day-and-night cycles, each offering distinct gameplay experiences,” developer Polymorph says. (Smilegate is publishing.) “During the day, players must make the most of every moment as they explore the abundant island to hunt, farm, fish, gather resources, craft materials, build fortifications, and level up through intense action-packed combat against ancient bosses and cursed monsters. As night falls, gameplay transforms from RPG adventure to survival horror, unleashing swarms of spine-chilling monsters that relentlessly stalk the player in an undead invasion.”

The studios say on Steam that they aim to keep IfSunSets in early access “for about a year.” An update concurrent with the early access launch includes a new enemy type, new special attacks, weapon and gear balancing, shop price tweaks, and animal aggro adjustments.

Steam also has a free downloadable prologue/demo for the game for folks who want to check it out without paying first. We do note that Steam has the “required third-party account” note; an Epic account is apparently required for multiplayer access.
