Lord of the Rings Online’s first expansion is being treated to a sweeping set of improvements on the eve of certain progression servers entering into this space. Last week, LOTRO tested Update 42.2 with a revamp of many of Moria’s instances and its stable-master network along with some special assassins waiting to surprise unwary adventurers.

“In the deeps of Moria another power lurks, and even the Nazgûl hesitate to intrude upon its domain,” SSG said. “The servants of this nameless horror are great in number, and among them particularly vicious hunters and assassins have taken note of the intrusions upon their ruined halls. These skilled enemies now stalk in search of prey, often striking from the darkness without warning, and explorers are cautioned to take care not to fall victim to their cunning.”

The Angmar and Mordor servers are set to head into Mines of Moria on December 4th, while Treebeard is progressing to Far Anorien and the Wastes on the same day.
