Yes, Christmas has returned to Daybreak-slash-Toadman’s MMO PlanetSide 2 as of this afternoon. “Enjoy the holiday festivities with the sights and sounds of Auraximas in Sanctuary. New events, items, and more will be available throughout December,” the studios say. “Snowmen have been spotted on the roads, take them out to complete missions for some sweet prizes including the new Glitch Banner and Horn!”
The Auraximas Directive runs through January 1st and rewards players with everything from certs and glitch items to a deluxe implant pack as they rank up the tiers.
Today’s update also includes a long list of sale bundles, discounted past anniversary packs, subber-only bundles (“We are planning to add all previous annual directive rewards to the Members Only tab in the Depot, however we are starting with the 2023 and 2024 Directive Rewards,” says the team), the new NS-D “Ice Dragon” Helios weapon, gobs of bug fixes, and a few audio updates (specific to the VS Betelgeuse 54-A, NS-15 M2, and Godsaw).
