Star Wars Galaxies rogue server SWG Legends has kicked off the Wookiee Life Day festival

If there’s one event that Star Wars Galaxies always did in the most ridiculous way imaginable, it’s… OK, actually, it’s the Ewok Festival of Love. But if there are two events, the second one is most definitely the Wookiee Life Day festival, which has returned to SWG Legends this year.

Life Day can be kind of overwhelming on this particular rogue server, with multiple events all going on at once and in multiple cities. To participate, players must head to Wayfar (on Tatooine), Dearic (on Talus), Doaba Guerfel (on Corellia), or The Grotto (on Kashyyyk) to collect presents and badges, then do the present-smashing/collecting quest for tokens. The Grotto offers additional quests, including quests from Chewbacca, which… I’m sorry to say this was all canon.

New rewards this year include an ugly sweater (yes, even your Wook and Ithorian can wear it) and Kash-themed lightsabers, which are so cool I wish I had a Jedi.

The winter festivities include an ongoing 12 days of Life Day hide-and-seek event, too. The overarching event is on through January 13th, following a massive in-game party on January 7th.

The December patch for the game also includes new gardens and streetlamps for player cities, fixes bugs with volumetric shadows and the planetary map, makes the Kash beast muzzle worth using, allows players to access their safety deposit box from space for a fee, fixes the diner door bug that’s been in the game since live, and fixes the missing crafting station buffs. Critically, “Astromechs will now extend their third wheel when moving fast.” Hell yeah.
