Coming in hot in the new year with some self-promotion after a quieter period of development is Scars of Honor, a classic-feeling MMORPG in the vein of vanilla World of Warcraft and the like. Studio Beast Burst Entertainment put out a short three-minute video this week to outline the work done on the project over the past four years.
“Ever wondered what it takes to build an MMORPG from scratch?” the studio asked. “Join us as we dive into the chaos, creativity, and coffee-fueled late nights that go into creating massive worlds, epic battles, and unforgettable adventures. From designing immersive environments to crafting engaging systems and characters, we’re sharing all the challenges, triumphs, and lessons along the way.”
Scars of Honor continues to run playtests as it builds up the game, with the devs saying that recent work is “night and day” noticeable. One recent project was to polish up the user interface to make it feel “smooth, intuitive, and fun.”
