VR MMORPG Ilysia adds guild features, mob tagging, and combat tweaks in latest PTR

The Tides of Corruption update for VR MMORPG Ilysia already changed a lot, but even more changes are on the horizon as evidenced by the patch notes from its latest PTR build, which features additional new systems and further gameplay tweaks.

First off, the MMO is finally getting its own guild system: Players are able to buy a guild writ for one gold and then form a guild in a UI, where they can also do all of the real guild things like assign roles and permissions, manage members, and naturally invite people to their guild. Because it’s not a real MMO unless you’re swatted with random guild invites over the course of a play session.

In addition, the PTR has new-to-the-game mob tagging rules that allot who gets looting rights and XP rewards depending on who slapped a monster first. In addition, XP rewards are split among party members based on level, while party members who don’t participate in combat or are too far away don’t get any XP. Sad face.

The rest of the build makes a number of tweaks to existing features, including several combat-related updates that fix armor values and damage mitigation, adding additional threat from melee weapons if a shield is equipped, fixing shield bash attacks, and letting shields recharge faster. Other updates include some general quest updates and a host of visual bug fixes.
