If you’re enjoying World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth, you’re probably OK with more of the same, as long as it’s shiny and new. And that’s just what you’re getting. As revealed in the Blizzard Twitch stream this afternoon, World of Warcraft is due for a big patch dubbed Tides of Vengeance. Blizzard’s Ion Hazzikostas laid it out as a continuation of the war campaign, with new world quests, new faction incursions (akin to Legion invasions), and character storylines zooming in on the current faves (Tyrande and Saurfang, etc.).
There’s also a new Warfront (Battle for Darkshore), new heritage armor (Dwarves and Belfs are apparently up first, but everyone is getting it eventually, not just allied races), new island expeditions (Jorundall and Havenwood), the new Gnomeregan pet battle dungeon, class balancing, new azerite traits, and some truly excellent account-wide unlocks, including the Champions of Azeroth rep grind.
Raiders will want to keep an eye on the two raids on the way: Siege of Zuldazar, which will apparently play differently depending on which faction you’re playing in, and the much smaller Crucible of Storms, which focuses on the Naga, as all things should.
