Warframe hits the Switch tomorrow – here’s the tea on migration, Fort2na, and Baruuk

Shimmy-shimmy-shimmy to the left.
One of the reasons I’m excited that my family’s getting a Switch for Christmas (don’t tell my kids!) is that Warframe is gonna be on it by then, and I’m gonna give it a go. In fact, it’s launching on Nintendo’s platform tomorrowday. PC players, if you want to play on both, you’ll need to decide whether you want to migrate your account to the Switch. It’s a tad confusing as it’s more like an account copy rather than a transfer or mirroring:

“To migrate your PC Warframe account to Nintendo Switch, you’ll need an existing Warframe Account on Nintendo Switch. When you perform account migration from PC to Nintendo Switch, a copy of your PC account will be created and transferred to your Nintendo Switch account. Keep in mind Tenno, once migrated, the two accounts act as separate accounts. Which means that you won’t share progress between them! All existing Nintendo Switch Account progress will be overwritten by your PC account.”

In other Warframe news, the game’s latest dev stream discusses the Fortuna content that was held back and is set to launch as “Fort2na” before the end of the year, including orb heists. We also got a peek at Baruuk, the game’s 38th ‘frame; he’ll be out in December too. And better hair is on the way! OK, you have my attention, Digital Extremes.
