If Hobbits are seen as being generally lazy creatures that gobble up their weight in food every day, then how come they have such a productive society? Reader Ryuen has a suspicion that herbal supplements might be a key factor in motivating Hobbits to work hard.

Versus, you know, aggressively farming. Actually, I’d play that kind of game.
With a lot of eyes returning to LOTRO lately, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing a few more screencaps from this beloved MMO than usual. Katriana has one that features Elvish architecture, but don’t worry — after a strategic neutron bomb, all the Elves have been removed to make way for luxury condominiums.
“The view of Elven buildings across the river from Celondim always makes me want to take screenshots of it,” she said. “Never have managed to catch just the right angle/lighting/etc. to do it justice of how pretty it is in game.”

At least the astrometrics portion was redone a couple of years ago, and the images can be quite lovely. I started a new captain this past week, and always enjoy taking a few shots of my Constitution-class cruiser in sector space.”
