Chris Roberts answers another ten questions for Star Citizen fans

It's like three games for the price of... well, actually, it's two games now.

Ready for another round of answers for Star Citizen fans from the project’s brain trust? Chris Roberts has sat down for the 76th installment of the ongoing “10 for the Chairman” series, and as always, that means answers to the most pressing questions that the community can conceive of. You can also check out a transcript if you want all of the information but don’t have time to watch the nearly 40-minute episode down below.

Roberts states that some bandwidth issues have been encountered in early testing, but that’s to be expected as the netcode is not yet optimized and hasn’t been the focus thus far. The multicrew systems still need to be fully implemented as well, although players should expect that larger ships can be repaired while in the midst of a firefight; larger ships will also have the option of docking with smaller ships in deep space, while smaller ships may not have that option. The full video is available down below for more answers on questions such as turret aiming mode and influences on the game.

Marelius GoJammit Bluetouchpaper Walpurgisnacht Thanks for copying-paste Desperate Soul blog.  CR’s history does prove that he deliver… while at the same time DS NEVER delivered anything playable. Really you should get some rest and come back in a year or two, as AAA game require 5 years and we are at only 3 and half of dev, starting Nov 2012 with a team of 7 people…
CIG is adding large patch every month.  Very fun for an Alpha indeed but not still a finished game obviously.

josefreaksalem Nearly every released game with ongoing development support say the same thing. It is code for “We like the idea and but it is either not something we are currently working on or that we are ready to talk about.” Your suggestions mean “We will implement those items before we reach 1.0 launch” and I would find those to be bigger red flags.

Not sure I understand the context, but I would love to be able to kick in some doors.
Especially if here are griefers to beat up behind the door. :P

Psionicinversion Geoff Dassad Bluetouchpaper Walpurgisnacht Ah, managed to avoid that wall of text then.   Was basing my identity deduction on the fact that bluetouchpaper was using decent english, which SKA tufao had lots of trouble with

AaronTallman If someone cannot be bothered to follow development, they’re hardly in a position to claim its “out of control at this point”.

GoJammit I didn’t know we were getting rainbow exhaust plumes. That’s awesome, any idea when it’ll be implemented?

Id rather hear “the plan is” than “we will” because the second something causes the plan to change or its discovered that this or that is either a bad idea or not possible or not good for whatever reason, all you whiny internet kids will hop on with “but you said my ship could have a rainbow exhaust plume!” Or some such nonsense.
