Dynamic events: All MMOs are required by law to contain them these days or be subject to the wrath of our digital court system. Wanting to avoid prison time or community service, Gloria Victis has elected to include such a system in its latest patch.
“The first dynamic events, which has been placed at the outskirts of Dunfen and Mereley, greatly increase the credibility of the Gloria Victis world,” the team posted. “Foxes sneak to hunt chickens, outcasts steal supplies and rebels oppress the townsmen. Next events, which will be implemented in the nearest future, will smoothly introduce the new players into the Gloria Victis world helping them to learn the gameplay mechanics and allow the players to affect the situation of the game world.”
Yesterday’s alpha patch also overhauled the launcher and began work on creating improved starting locations with the introduction of a fishing docks area. Other newbie towns, such as Mereley and Dunfen, will be retooled in the future.
