EVE Online pilots are called on to investigate exaltation temples

Tomorrow’s going to be a grand old two-for-one celebration over at EVE Online. Players will get not only a new patch but an event as well.

The patch, September’s 118.8 release, includes some welcome buffs to all mining barges and exhumers, with a special focus on ORE’s line of ships (which will receive, among other things, “hot new visual effects”). As for the event, pilots are going to go on a galaxy-wide scavenger hunt: “Purity of the Throne Exaltation Temple sites have appeared throughout New Eden. Capsuleer investigation is required.”

This update won’t be the one delivering EVE Online’s new free-to-play business model, which will be coming with the next expansion. Players can subscribe right now to get extra rewards for their account.
