Grab a War Thunder Naval Battles closed beta key from Gaijin and Massively OP!

For the last couple of months, War Thunder studio Gaijin Entertainment has been hard at work running a closed beta for its Naval Battles mode, which features the new special events themselves, new maps, and the long-awaited horizontal research system. Normally, to get into this leg of the closed beta, you have to buy a naval pack, but Gaijin has granted us a bundle of keys to get players in right now. Click the Mo button below (and prove you’re not a robot) to grab one of these keys!

No keys left! Sorry.

Here’s how to redeem your code:

  • Head to the Gaijin activation site: https://store.gaijin.net/activate.php
  • Sign-in to your War Thunder account or register for an account.
  • To register for an account, you will provide an email, create a username and password.
  • Once registered, or if you have an account, sign in.
  • Click on Activate Code, add code, click Activate.

Please note that you must activate your code by September 30th. The team hasn’t announced an end date for the closed beta, though the FAQ suggests it’ll run for at least the rest of the year, and there are no region locks on the keys, but do note that the keys work for PC users only. (The game itself runs for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Mac, Linux, and Shield Android TV, and it’s semi-crossplatform – aside from PS4 players playing Xbox One players, you know the drill.)

Gaijin says that the keys will grant you instant access to the Naval Battles Closed Beta; you can begin unlocking the ships research tree, upgrade the ships and participate in Naval Battles (combined with aviation). “Fleet is now available for 3 nations – USA, Germany and USSR – with about 60 ships in total from torpedo boats to light cruisers,” the studio explains. “Gaijin Entertainment created a special horizontal research system will allow players to quickly explore exactly the class of ships that they are most interested in. The Closed Beta Testing of Naval forces is available in special events Naval battles (Events and tournaments tab in the game). Gaijin Entertainment offers naval maps from all over the world, and in the upcoming update we are adding two more locations: Mediterranean port and Green mountains gulf.”

Finally, note that some of your closed beta progress will be wiped when the update does move to open beta; make sure you’re up to speed on what you get to keep and what will be going away when the phase changes.

Standard giveaway notes: If there’s no captcha or Mo button and all it says is “No keys left! Sorry” in big letters, then we’re out of keys. If we get another batch from the studio, we’ll send out a note on social media. Having problems with the captcha not working? Try an alt browser or clear your cache. And finally, hang on to your code! If you lose it after all of our keys are given out, we cannot retrieve it for you.

Good luck and have fun!
