It turns out that people are very excited to play trading card games in digital format. So why not play the original trading card game in digital format? Yes, it’s Magic: the Gathering Arena, and it’s now in open beta so everyone can get down to some original-style card-slinging. Not that the game has been stagnant in the years since its creation, and the open beta includes cards from the latest set, Guilds of Ravnica, before its actual retail release!

Magic: the Gathering Arena will also allow you to redeem digital codes earned by purchasing physical products, so that pack of Ravnica cards can also unlock stuff in the digital game. It’s meant to be accessible whether you’ve never played the game before or you used to walk down to the nearest store selling the cards in middle school while you learned to play Revised Edition, so regardless of which camp you fall into, you can check it out now.
