There’s a curious air of Star Wars fandom going around this weekend — for no discernible reason that we can identify — and that is being compounded by a stress test of Star Wars Galaxies Emu’s latest build.
SWGEmu’s Publish 10 stress test event is happening this afternoon at 2 p.m. EDT (exactly three hours after this article goes live) as the developers put the new build through its paces. The emulator team is taking down the Basilisk and Nova servers for the duration of the test to focus on all of the testy things. Following the test will be a meet-and-greet with the staff.
Reportedly, Publish 10 adds work on the Imperial Crackdown and Force Ranking systems. Basically, Jedi are coming to the game. Players anticipate that if all goes well with this test, they will hear when this patch is going to launch on live for real.
