We’re sorry to anyone who was eagerly anticipating the launch of Caravan Stories before the end of the month because it looks like that’s just not going to happen. The July 23rd open beta that was originally happening has been pushed back to an as-yet-unknown time, meaning that players will have to just keep waiting for a while longer. How much longer? We don’t know. Longer.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Betaville…
- Astellia Online knows exactly when its next closed beta starts. It’s on July 30th, specifically! That’s not so long to wait. Just a couple of weeks, if you’re eager to try out the game’s whole new battleground thing.
- Meanwhile, those of you excited for the next World of Warcraft: Classic stress test will also need to keep waiting. It’s testing your stress levels already by not letting you play.
- There’s another delay hitting for Torchlight Frontiers, but thankfully it’s of the smaller sort, as the game’s next patch is getting delayed by one week. That’s a bit more bearable than “not now, later.”
- Last but not least, it looks like Seconds from Silence is starting up alpha signups, which doesn’t really thematically tie into delays at all. That’s a good thing.

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
