Sometimes the theme is just disappointment.

The latest Letter from the Producer LIVE arrived for Final Fantasy XIV, and as fans predicted it includes both a trailer and a release date for the patch itself: October 29th. That means that players have less than two weeks until all of the content of the patch is available, and it also means that players can enjoy a brand-new trailer just below, complete with all of the searing NieR: Automata musical leitmotifs you could ask for.

Patch 5.1 is also bringing along a number of system changes for crafters and various jobs; Ninja will no longer be weaving Ninjutsu between weaponskills, Summoner will see Egi commands brought onto the GCD with potency adjustments, Samurai has Meditation reworked, and Bard gets buffs back to the various songs. You can check out Reddit for a jumbled translation of some of the elements within the live letter ahead of an official translation, but you’ll be able to see the whole thing for yourself when the patch arrives on the 29th.
