Will of Iron is officially live today in NCsoft’s Blade & Soul, presumably the last major update of the year for the game’s western version. The patch notes and launch trailer are up now; here’s what to expect:

  • The Destroyer class snags the new alchemy-themed spec, Way of the Iron Will.
  • There’s a new 6-person heroic dungeon called Hangar 0, in both easy and hard mode for level 60 HM 22; NCsoft characterizes it as a gloomy industrial map filled with “deadly martial automatons built in secret, with technology based on reworked Naryu designs.”
  • And there’s a new side epic quest, Rise of the Silversteel – or more accurately, the first five chapters of it: “The first five chapters of a new Side Epic Quest will start a journey of discovery as you gain information about a mysterious group of mechanically enhanced super soldiers that have attacked the Talus Dominion—Empress Yunma Fei needs your help to uncover their base of operations before more attacks are launched.”

Daily quests and fishing have been tweaked as well, plus there’s been a light rebalancing for multiple other classes. Christmas is live too; check out your freebie gifts under the “Holiday Treasure Trove” tree through December 25th, and trade around the new reindeer ornaments.
