It looks like PAX East 2020 will not be one of the biggest focal points for Final Fantasy XIV news; it will be happening shortly after a major patch arrives, after all. But there will still be a presence for the game at the show as always, with this year’s panel with lead character concept artist Yusuke Mogi detailing how the game’s concept art gets made. Attendees even get a special double-sided poster for the panel, and as with most panel, there’s sure to be at least one or two reveals there.

Players who cannot attend needn’t fret, however, as there will be an official feed of the panel as it happens for everyone.

Show attendees can also take on the upcoming Ruby Weapon trial for the latest iteration of the game’s line of “I Beat [BOSS]” that has been at many conventions, with a fan gathering planned off-site on Friday, February 28th (attendees will need to be 21 or older). There’s also a chance for new players to win a free starter edition of the game, so whether you’re an old hand or just curious about all the buzz, the game’s presence at PAX East 2020 should have something to interest you.
