Or the far future. This is Blizzard, after all, and speed is never one of the studio’s traits. Still, it’s a pretty exciting development for the game’s antsy fans.
This first phase of pre-patch testing involves testing out the core class updates, navigation improvements, the fresh new player experience, the expanded character customization we’ve been hearing about for a while now, and the Scourge Invasion event that will precede Shadowlands’ launch.
Blizzard said that it’s going to be rolling out the next phase of PTR pre-patch testing tomorrow. When the pre-patch does arrive on the live servers, it’ll signal the start of the Shadowlands expansion cycle and the countdown to the official launch. The studio said that the pre-patch’s release will be “several weeks” before Shadowlands debuts.
