My inbox is telling an interesting story today – the story of how gaming studios are busy dumping all their bad news right before Thanksgiving. Fortunately, very little of it so far has been MMO-related. But this one is: Wild Terra 2 has just announced that it’s delaying its planned early access all the way to January 28th, 2021.

“We want to maximize the quality of the game before the Early Access release, and this will require a number of changes and bug fixes. Also, we will add a lot of new content!” Juvty Worlds promises in its Steam blog today. “The wipe before the next round of testing will take place on December 14th. During the wipe, we will improve the game balance, adjust rates and some prices in game currency. This wipe and new testing phase will help make WT2 even better! The last wipe – January 26th, 48h before Early Access launch. Pack owners will be able to start playing at that time, and others will be able to join on Jan. 28th by purchasing the game on Steam.”

Launch was originally planned for December, so at least this is just a few more weeks to wait. Wild Terra 2, of course, is somewhere between a sequel and a do-over for the studio’s original MMO Wild Terra; it’s meant to roll the first games best ideas into a new title with significantly better graphics and modernized survival sandbox mechanics.
