Into the unknown.

If you’ve been counting the days until Final Fantasy XIV’s next expansion arrived, you’re going to have to count a little bit longer. Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida announced tonight on the live letter from the producer that Endwalker has been delayed from its originally planned launch date of November 23rd until December 7th, with the early access for the expansion delayed as well from November 19th until December 3rd.

Yoshida explained that the delay came down to the realities of master QA checking while preparing a culminating expansion for the game. He apologized to players and fans for the delay, taking the responsibility for the delay and hoping that the extra time would produce an appropriately balanced and finely tuned expansion for players. Not that it changes the fact that players will have to wait two extra weeks for the expansion release.

In the meantime, the launch trailer is here.
