One Shots: Watching the firelog show

What did people and hobbits used to do before you could stream a fireplace on your television? Apparently, they hacked up tree corpses, dragged them into their living rooms, and set them on fire like sickos. And then, as if that indignity wasn’t enough, they’d watch the desecration in grim approval for hours.

Not that we’d ever call Sleepy a sicko with this cozy setup: “I’m gradually decorating the house with the proceeds of the Yule Festival in Lord of the Rings Online.”

Meanwhile, Uta “Purple Haze” Kata is bringing all of the sad emo panda vibes to Blade and Soul. It’s a very specific scene, mind you, and you’re probably not cool enough to enter.

Moving on to Final Fantasy XIV, Vincent is jumping the gun on spring a tad: “It’s getting darker earlier and it’s cold and gloomy in the UK at the moment so I went with bright pastels and a little bit of posterization for this week’s shot.”

“I’ve really been on a kick of playing my FFXIV alt lately!” said RimaHadley. “Here’s her current Paladin glamour.”

Lookin’ sharp there, Rima! Literally! Watch where you’re waving that thing, because last week you were showing off and a pair of schnauzers met their unexpected end.

And finally, Bree digs into the weirdness well of a galaxy far, far away: “Here’s a shot of another player’s shrine to the Meatlump King, one of the greatest jokes in Star Wars Galaxies.”

Can you top Meatlump? Probably not, but you should give it a try anyway! Head on down to the comments to post pictures from your recent MMO adventures or celebrations.

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
