Do you want to experience the winter holiday in RuneScape? The developers are certainly hoping you do, or even if you don’t that you will be enticed by this year’s addition to the Christmas Village… a black party hat. People who have never played RuneScape are now looking at the screen bewildered just muttering “it’s just a black hat, what’s the big deal” while old veterans are no doubt having flashbacks to the bloodbath over party hats from years past.
Yes, the black party hat is available, but in order to get it you will have to be on Santa’s “Nice” list, and that is going to involve a whole lot of quests at the new seasonal event hub. But it’s all worth it to lay your hands on the party hat, although one might argue that doing whatever it takes simply to own a party hat is definitionally not very nice. To that, the game says: Don’t you want the black party hat? And in the distance, you hear the grinding of teeth from long-time fans ready to take on this holiday event. Party hats… party hats never change.
